3 NEW YAMADORI PINES
These have been collected in our orchard too, in a huge concrete water tank that was used for water pumped up the hill from river Torysa.
Over the years it has been colonized by various species of trees, some growing in the cracks between the concrete panels and are uncollectible with roots deep under the panels, and some (like these 3) are growing in the dirt that was accumulated over the years on the panels.
So there was no digging, I just cutted the compact rootballs around a then planted it in small plastic containers at home in pure zeolite with just a little bit of bonsai substrate from supermarket.
Considering what they have been growing in I think they are gonna be happy in good substrate where the roots have a place to grow and should survive withou problem. But one never knows, so I keep my fingers crossed for them.
Anyways, on a place where they were growing, they wouldn´t have very bright future and they would by knocked over by the wind once they would get a little bit taller.

3 NOVÉ YAMADORI BOROVICE
Tieto boli tiež donesené z nášho bývalého sadu, kde rástli vo veľkej betónovej nádži, do ktorej sa kedysi hnala hore kopcom voda z Torysy na zavlažovanie sadu.
Počas rokov nádrž kolonizovalo viac druhov stromčekov, niektoré rastú v puklinách medzi panelmi a tým pádom sa nedajú bez pomoci nejakých strojov vykopať, a niektoré rastú v hline priamo na paneloch, preto majú kompaktné koreňové baly a nemusel som ich kopať, len som obstrihal baly.
Doma som ich zasadil do plastových prepraviek do zeolitu s troškou bonsajového substrátu zo supermarketu.
Keď zoberieme do úvahy v čom rástli, mali by vyzdvihnutie prežiť a byť šťastné, že ich korene majú dostatok substrátu na rast.
Ale jeden nikdy nevie, preto im držím palce.
Aj keď na novom mieste by ich pekná budúcnosť asi nečakala a boli by vyvrátené vetrom keby ešte trošku podrástli.
